SnOOze
SnOOze is a virtual reality experience that allows the user to feel what it would be like to live in a dream. I wanted to utilise the interesting features of Virtual Reality for this project, as it puts the user right into the worlds I created.

This project came about because of previous research I carried out for my dissertation. This was an interest of mine already and therefore I wanted to properly visualise it. My main goal for this project was to collect aspects of dreams that showed similarities and create a virtual world that reflected on these. This project is aimed towards anyone who has an interest in VR technology, as well as a curiosity to experience what a dream would feel like.

I used Unreal Engine 4 to create the dream scenes, using their advanced level building to create a space that would allow me to drop the user straight in. I designed most of the assets myself as well as used pre made assets to design the different scenes. The video below shows the final showcase trailer that I created to bring everything together. I used Adobe After Effects to create this, taking videos of each scene simply showing an example of how someone may navigate the world.
Along with the 3 dream scenes that I designed using UE4, I also wanted to create an app mock-up that would send the user to the VR experience. I wanted the design of this app to be soft and clean, including small assets of the scenes. I used blender to create simplified dioramas of the VR scenes. The image below shows the final app designs I produced for the 3 different scenes. I created the mock-ups in Adobe XD, adding a form of interaction to the application.
The image below shows the final logo that I created in Adobe Illustrator. I created the shape of a VR headset using circles and rectangles and then added two circles for the eyes. I used these two circles for the O's in the title Snooze. I used Oswald Bold for the other letters around the headset.
These 3 videos below are the original recordings that I took for the final trailer, showing an example of what the user might experience.
